When I hear or read someone making a statement ridiculing the miraculous effect of homeopathy, I tend to recall this very worthy words of Neitzsche.
In fact those who have experienced the beneficial effects of homeopathy, often times miraculous, will never ever doubt the efficacy of homeopathy. Even those who have had such experience might well differ from some of the empirical explanations given by homeopaths regarding the way homeopathy works. But the Prevention, Cure and Palliation provided by the sweet pills to millions of its followers is an undeniable fact.
Yet skeptics, those who either had no experience with homeopathy or had some bad experience at the hands of unscientific and half backed homeopaths.
What is homeopathy’s fault ?
The most striking difficulty with homeopathy is it’s ideas and postulates are far ahead of the material science of the day. Hence some of the loose ends, where results were obvious but the mechanism remained obscure, were explained by theories that remained far ahead of the science of the day. In all earnestness postulates of Homeopathy mentioned in the Organon of Medicine got explained by men of the time based on limits of knowledge of the time. This in turn resulted in some people clinging to these bits and announcing that homeopathy is all fraud.
Secondly at a time materialism and massive drugging were the trade marks, the process of dilution adopted by homeopathy was far beyond the imagination of the “Scientific minds”.
Homeopathy is even today being crucified by those who are unable to comprehend the way of nature, where only minimum is needed to produce maximum effect. Now, with nano technology being able to demonstrate behavior similar to original substance in some of the highly diluted homeopathic medicines the argument against homeopathic ultra dilutions hold no water.
But overtime many of the homeopathic principles are being accepted by modern science. The most striking one is the use of inhalers to manage asthma where the quantity of drug used is very significantly low compared to tablets that were the earlier routine.
With the advent of Antibiotic resistance and drug induced diseases the medical world is at cross roads. The only positive and sustainable direction that the wise will now adopt is that of homeopathy since it offers to replicate the natural laws of cure.
Yes, as predicted many many years ago ……. HOMEOPATHY is THE medicine of the coming times.
